Giving

The New Testament teaches this about giving: "He who sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has proposed in his own heart , not reluctantly or under compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Cor.9:6-7) Giving to God of your time, talents and treasure, is an act of love and thanks and a response to what God has done for you! Since He saved us by sending Jesus to die for our sins and provide forgiveness and salvation, then we have much to be thankful for! We give because He first gave to us! So each week, we return a portion of what we have been given financially by God, back to Him in thanks for what He has done!

With that understanding, we want to thank you for your support of our ministry. We take each offering and use it to further the ministry of our church here at Baycities Lomita. We have been called by God to do great things for Him in and around our community and your giving through this church goes a long way towards making those things happen.

Every Christian is called by God to learn and practice being the most joyful and cheerful giver he ro she can be! Giving financially is a regular part of what being a "giver to God" is all about. Your gifts underwrite the activites and costs of this ministry. In addition, we are called to give of our time and talents also to God to help build His kingdom. Being a volunteer for Jesus is how we employ the gifts and abilities God has given us to now use them for His service in Jesus' Name!
